The role emphasizes second-tier technical support, broad Windows-based expertise, and the ability to engage with internal customers across the organisation. Local and remote user support is part of the remit.

Qualifications

• Broad technical support experience in a Windows environment.
• Practical understanding of networking technologies and systems.
• Strong understanding of applications.
• Successful development of relationships with key internal stakeholders.
• Relevant qualifications such as MCE, MCSE or tertiary IT education.

Responsibilities

• Resolve a variety of service requests with minimal business disruption.
• Assess and respond to issues quickly using broad technical knowledge.
• Provide face-to-face and remote support to end users across the organisation.
• Handle printer setup, OS, applications, network coordination and vendor repairs.
• Support local and remote users as part of the VIC IT team.
