HCF Australia is seeking an IT Risk and Governance Specialist to oversee IT governance, risk management, and compliance across the IT environment. You will lead control testing, audit support, and assurance activities to ensure regulatory alignment and operational excellence.

The role emphasizes collaboration with business stakeholders and technology teams, focusing on strong controls, ISMS standards, and continuous improvement. A graduate IT degree plus relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of solid experience in an IT Risk, Compliance role.
• Strong understanding of governance and risk management.
• Experience with IT controls and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of IT governance and compliance across IT services.
• Perform design and operating effectiveness testing for defined IT controls.
• Conduct control assurance to identify gaps and recommend solutions.
• Document the control evaluation process and maintain audit records.
• Communicate issues and control gaps to stakeholders with clear recommendations.
• Prepare reports on the effectiveness of internal controls and potential weaknesses.
