Job summary

Clicks IT Recruitment seeks an experienced IT Project Master Scheduler to join a major ICT transformation program in Sydney and other locations. The role focuses on building and maintaining integrated program schedules in a multi-vendor environment. You will use MS Project Professional to manage the Master Schedule, monitor critical paths, and prepare dashboards for governance forums.

A Baseline clearance is required. This is a hybrid, 6-month contract with potential extension.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed schedules and WBS using MS Project Professional.
• Manage an integrated Program Master Schedule across multiple workstreams.
• Consolidate schedules from external partners to a single view of program delivery.
• Monitor critical paths, milestones, dependencies, and conflicts.
• Implement dependency tracking and reporting frameworks across projects.
• Support schedule-driven forecasting and governance reporting.
• Prepare dashboards and executive-level schedule summaries.
• Provide PMO support across governance, planning, reporting and controls.
• Mentor team members in scheduling best practices.
• Demonstrate advanced MS Project skills for complex schedules.
• Deliver enterprise-scale scheduling within large ICT programs.
• Apply Agile, Hybrid and Waterfall delivery knowledge.

IT Project Master Scheduler - Contract Opportunity
NSW-Sydney, Newcastle ,Melbourne, Canberra locations

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced IT Project Master Scheduler to join a major enterprise-scale technology transformation program. Working within a complex multi-vendor environment, you will play a critical role in supporting the planning, coordination, governance, and successful delivery of large-scale ICT initiatives.
This position sits within a high-performing Program Management Office (PMO) and requires a scheduling specialist who can establish, maintain, and optimise integrated program schedules while providing visibility of key milestones, dependencies, risks, and delivery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) using Microsoft Project Professional.
• Manage and maintain an integrated Program Master Schedule across multiple workstreams and delivery teams.
• Consolidate project schedules from external delivery partners and vendors to provide a single view of program delivery.
• Monitor critical paths, milestones, dependencies, and potential scheduling conflicts.
• Implement and manage dependency tracking and reporting frameworks across interconnected projects.
• Support project financial reporting activities, including schedule-driven forecasting and governance reporting.
• Prepare program dashboards, status reports, and executive-level schedule summaries.
• Provide PMO support across governance, planning, reporting, and program controls activities.
• Mentor and support internal team members in scheduling best practices and project planning methodologies.
• Advanced expertise in Microsoft Project Professional, including the creation and management of complex project schedules and work breakdown structures.
• Proven experience managing enterprise-scale schedules within large ICT programs.
• Strong understanding of project scheduling principles, critical path analysis, dependency management, and program controls.
• Experience supporting project financial tracking, forecasting, and reporting processes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
• Experience preparing reports and presentations for governance forums and senior executives.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 technologies including Teams, SharePoint, Power BI, and related collaboration tools.
• Previous experience working within Federal Government or other large, complex enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of contemporary project management methodologies including Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall delivery approaches.
• Experience operating within multi-vendor technology delivery programs.
• Understanding of governance, compliance, and assurance frameworks within large-scale ICT initiatives.
