Job summary

Global Vision Recruitment on behalf of Technosoft Australia is seeking an ICT Help Desk Officer in Melbourne to provide first-level support to clients and staff. The role requires a tertiary IT qualification and at least 1 year of ICT support experience.

The position offers 38 hours per week, full-time, with a salary of $75,000-$76,000 per annum plus 12% superannuation. Training and development are provided to deliver quality IT support services.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of ICT support or help desk experience.
• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, ICT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, networking, and basic server administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support to clients and internal staff via phone, email, and remote support tools
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, system, and network-related issues
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and peripheral devices
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff when required
• Maintain accurate records of support requests, troubleshooting activities, and system updates
• Assist with user account management, password resets, and access permissions
• Support website, application, and system maintenance activities where required
• Monitor system performance and identify potential technical issues proactively
• Assist in maintaining IT security standards, backups, and software updates
• Provide guidance and training to users on basic IT systems and applications
• Ensure all support tasks are completed within agreed service timeframes
• Collaborate with internal teams to support ongoing technology projects and improvements
• Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach when handling support requests
