Job summary

Yusen Logistics seeks two Inventory Controllers for the Northampton warehouse, working Monday to Friday, 14:00 - 22:00. These are full-time, permanent roles in the UK.

You will maintain stock records, perform regular counts, investigate discrepancies and support stocktakes while driving improvements across the inventory function with a strong focus on accuracy and KAIZEN principles. You'll also handle stock relocations, produce weekly and monthly reports, and contribute to health and safety and

Qualifications

• Previous inventory/stock control experience.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems.
• Experience implementing improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of inventory/warehouse operations and KAIZEN principles.
• Strong communication and numerical skills.
• PC literacy with common office tools (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook).
• Strong customer focus.

Responsibilities

We are looking for two Inventory Controllers to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working Monday - Friday, 14:00 - 22:00.

The Role

As an Inventory Controller, you will maintain accurate stock records and support the efficient running of our Northampton warehouse operation.

Carrying out regular stock counts, you will investigate and resolve discrepancies and ensure all stock is accurately accounted for.

You will also maintain stock files, conduct pallet checks and support formal stocktakes to ensure stock integrity and performance targets are met.

Additionally, you will:

• Respond to customer queries
• Assist with stock relocations within the warehouse
• Complete weekly and monthly inventory reports
• Identify improvements to the quality management system
• Maintain risk assessments and safe systems of work
• Carry out equipment checks and follow health and safety procedures

About You

To be considered as an Inventory Controller, you will need:

• Previous inventory and/or stock control experience
• Knowledge and operational experience of warehouse management systems
• Proven experience of implementing improvement initiatives
• Knowledge of inventory and/or warehouse operations
• An awareness of KAIZEN principles
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills
• PC literacy, with intermediate knowledge of Excel, and user knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access, Windows, and Outlook
• A strong customer focus
