Job summary

Ignite is seeking an EL1 Intranet Content Manager for a Federal Government organisation based in New Acton, Canberra. The role focuses on managing and improving the organisation's intranet, working with multiple business areas to ensure staff access clear, accurate and user-friendly information.

The position is a 12-month non-ongoing engagement. Candidates with a Section 26 transfer are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or managing intranet content and support services.
• Experience creating, publishing and maintaining online content.
• Strong writing and editing skills with ability to produce clear, plain-English content accessible to all users.
• Ability to tailor messages for different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating support for intranet content across the organisation.
• Maintaining the structure and organisation of information on the intranet so content is easy to find and use.
• Providing advice and guidance to content authors on writing, formatting and presenting information in a clear and accessible way.
• Developing and maintaining intranet standards, policies and best-practice guidelines.
• Working with stakeholders and technical support teams to ensure the intranet meets business needs and delivers a consistent user experience.
• Developing and improving the overall intranet content strategy and governance processes.
• Coordinating regular reviews of intranet content to ensure information remains accurate and relevant.
• Delivering training, resources and support to intranet content authors, users and administrators.
• Maintaining approved corporate document templates, including Word and PowerPoint templates.
• Writing, editing and publishing intranet content as required.]
