THE ROLE: The Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) is the Australian Government agency responsible for the promotion and marketing of Australian education internationally. Our client-focused Global Engagement Managers (GEMs) work with Austrade’s offshore network across 30+ markets and external partners to help Australian education businesses engage and expand internationally and to promote Australia’s quality education and training offerings to international students, parents and agents. GEMs are trusted advisers to their clients, developing a deep understanding of their international ambitions and ensuring the services, insights and connections provided by Austrade deliver tangible value and support long-term export success in line with government priorities and global trends. We are seeking an individual with a successful track record working in international education. You will bring experience building trusted relationships with education businesses, managing client portfolios, and engaging and influencing diverse stakeholders. You will possess a strong understanding of the competitive strengths of Australian international education providers, the opportunities and challenges associated with international expansion, and the commercial strategies, diversified delivery models and partnership approaches that enable education providers to succeed in global markets (including transnational education). You will also demonstrate strong project management capabilities, with experience leading complex initiatives, coordinating multiple stakeholders and delivering outcomes in a dynamic environment.
