Job summary

ATS Building Products, a major Australian supplier of timber and building materials, is seeking an Internal Sales Representative based in Northmead. The role focuses on driving sales, handling inquiries, and converting quotations to orders, with strong emphasis on customer service and growth.

Responsibilities

• Attend to the front desk and assist customers with orders and pricing inquiries.
• Respond to RFQs via phone, email, or social media as required.
• Prepare quotations and follow up to convert quotes to orders.
• Hunt for new customers and develop new business opportunities.
• Use consultative approaches to influence major decision makers.
• Obtain referrals to develop new customers and cross-sell products.
• Report weekly on pipeline and activities.

The Role

ATS Building Products has a permanent full-time position open for a Internal Sales Representative based in Northmead. You will be responsible for driving sales while upholding the ATS professionalism that we are known for. The role is available for an immediate start for the right person.

Key responsibilities include:

• Attend to the front desk and assist customers with orders and pricing inquiries.
• Promptly respond to RFQs via phone / e-mail / social media as required.
• Prepare quotations as required
• Follow-up and convert quotes to orders
• Hunt for new customers and new business opportunities
• Using consultative approaches to influence major decision makers
• Obtain referrals to develop new customers
• Cross sell complimentary products
• Report weekly on pipeline and activities.
• Comply with ATS Building Products policies and procedures surrounding Chain of Custody and Forest Stewardship Council requirements.

The successful candidate will have:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in sales or a similar role
• Proven track record selling to carpenters, builders or form workers (desired but not essential)
• Highly developed customer service skills
