Job summary

Veterinary Specialists of Sydney (VSOS) is seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our Internal Medicine team on a full-time basis in Sydney. You will work alongside specialists, residents and a skilled nursing team, caring for complex medical cases and participating in diagnostic workups, anaesthesia and procedures.

Ideal candidates have busy-clinic nursing experience, strong patient care, great communication and a willingness to learn within a multidisciplinary hospital.

Qualifications

• Veterinary nursing experience in a busy clinical environment.
• Strong patient care and hospital nursing skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Nursing complex medical inpatients.
• Assisting with endoscopy, bronchoscopy and other minimally invasive procedures.
• Providing anaesthesia and patient monitoring for procedures under specialist anaesthesia guidance.
• Assisting with ultrasound-guided procedures and biopsies.
• Managing medications, fluid therapy and treatment plans.
• Working closely with specialists and residents on diagnostic journeys.
