Job summary

Metier Recruitment is seeking an experienced HR professional for a broad, autonomous role in Kogarah. You will lead end-to-end recruitment and support HR operations, people & culture, and compliance across the business, reporting to the General Operations Manager.

The role combines recruitment execution with HR administration in a professional team. You will manage HRIS, onboarding/offboarding, training coordination and policy maintenance, while guiding managers and employees and ensuring

Qualifications

  • Tertiary HR qualifications and solid recruitment experience.
  • Knowledge of Australian employment legislation and Modern Awards.
  • Experience with HRIS such as Employment Hero.
  • Ability to work autonomously with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day HR function with a strong focus on recruitment.
  • Prepare employment contracts and coordinate onboarding and offboarding.
  • Manage HRIS, employee records and documentation.
  • Coordinate training, certifications and compliance requirements.
  • Provide day-to-day HR support to managers and employees.
  • Maintain HR policies, procedures and employment documentation.
  • Support compliance with the Fair Work Act and Modern Awards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and systems.
  • Assist with ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 compliance.

Are you an experienced HR professional with energy, initiative and strong recruitment experience?

Our client is a successful national consulting, engineering and project management firm looking for a capable HR professional to join their team in Kogarah.

This is a broad, autonomous role spanning recruitment, HR operations, people & culture and compliance, working closely with supportive management and a professional, engaging team.

The Role

Reporting to the General Operations Manager, you'll manage the day-to-day HR function, with a strong focus on end-to-end recruitment, while supporting managers and employees across the business.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, from advertising and screening through to onboarding
  • Prepare employment contracts and coordinate onboarding and offboarding
  • Manage the HRIS, employee records and HR documentation
  • Coordinate training, certifications and compliance requirements
  • Provide day-to-day HR support to managers and employees
  • Maintain HR policies, procedures and employment documentation
  • Support compliance with the Fair Work Act and relevant Modern Awards
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and systems
  • Assist with ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 compliance
About You

You'll be an experienced HR professional who is organised, confident and proactive, with the personality and communication skills to build strong relationships across the business.

You'll ideally have:

  • Demonstrated end-to-end recruitment experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related discipline
  • Knowledge of Australian employment legislation and Modern Awards
  • HRIS experience — Employment Hero or similar highly regarded
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • The confidence to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
  • ISO 9001 / ISO 45001 experience advantageous
  • Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship
