Hoban Recruitment's client, a global manufacturing leader, is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join the People & Culture team in Thomastown, VIC. You will be the first contact for employees and managers, delivering practical HR support across relations, operations, compliance, systems and employee experience.

In this hands-on role you will partner with senior stakeholders across ANZ, drive people initiatives, and contribute to regional projects while ensuring compliance with Fair Work and

Qualifications

  • Experience as an HR generalist supporting employee relations and HR operations.
  • Knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Fair Work and NES.
  • Exposure to Oracle HRIS is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for employees and managers, providing HR advice and support across policies, recruitment, performance management, and queries.
  • Support employee relations matters including investigations, performance improvement, terminations, and compliance issues.
  • Build relationships with managers and employees to promote engagement and wellbeing.
  • Maintain HR policies, templates, and documentation in line with Australian legislation and company policies.
  • Manage contracts, onboarding/offboarding, records, and HR administration activities.
  • Provide guidance on benefits programs including superannuation and private health insurance.
  • Maintain HR data, prepare reports and insights to support decision-making.
  • Support HR systems and reporting processes, with exposure to Oracle HRIS advantageous.
  • Coordinate lifecycle activities including onboarding, induction, learning and development, and regional HR projects.
  • Assist with organizational change initiatives and internal communications.

Highly Regarded
  • Experience within manufacturing, industrial, automation, engineering, or other global organisations.
