This is a hands-on role with significant day-to-day delivery responsibility. You will not only shape the strategy and advise leaders, but also execute it, including content creation, channel management, leadership communications, town halls, campaigns, newsletters and the ongoing operational communications that keep our people informed. You will shape clear and consistent messaging for corporate, frontline and remote employees, and measure the effectiveness of communications to drive continuous improvement. Success in the role is measured by both the quality of the strategy and the effectiveness of its implementation.
This is a part-time national role, based in either our Adelaide North Terrace or Sydney office. As you will be working with teams and stakeholders across multiple locations, some travel will be required, so you will need to be flexible and available to travel as needed. The role sits within the Organisational Development team.
We are seeking a seasoned communications professional with a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related discipline and a minimum of 5 years of experience in an internal, corporate communications role. You have a proven track record in working with senior leaders and executives on communication approaches and key messaging through your strong interpersonal and influencing skills. You think strategically, drive change and advise leaders, while also rolling up your sleeves to deliver outcomes across the business.
Your expertise in developing and implementing an organisational internal communications plan across various business units, will set you up to effectively shape organisational culture, employee experience and employee engagement. You have a wealth of hands-on experience in managing several communication channels, creating engaging content, delivering leadership communications, town halls, campaigns and newsletters, and analysing communication effectiveness. With a strong foundation in internal communications best practices and emerging trends, you have strong skills across digital content tools, and communication platforms.
Your collaborative approach and keen attention to detail equip you to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-business environment with tight deadlines. You are an exceptional communicator and team player, known for your innovative and creative thinking. Your highly organised nature and strong time management skills ensure that you consistently meet objectives. You excel in building relationships with internal stakeholders, uncovering new opportunities to drive success.
