Job summary

Yo-Chi Frozen Yogurt is seeking an Internal Communications Specialist to keep teams connected, informed and aligned. The role sits at the heart of our business, linking Support, Operations and venues to turn initiatives into clear, actionable messages.

Working from our Hawthorn office with a minimum of 2 days per week on site, you’ll develop plans, manage calendars, coordinate cross‑functional projects and help teams understand what’s changing and why it matters.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in internal communications, project coordination, operations or a similar role.
• Strong operator and communicator who can turn complex information into clear, engaging content.
• Highly organised and able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
• Natural communicator who can bring people together across teams.
• Strong writing skills with attention to tone, detail and consistency.
• Confident coordinating projects, timelines, actions and stakeholders.
• Creative and willing to find new ways to engage teams.
• Proactive, curious and able to spot opportunities to improve communication.
• Comfortable in a fast-moving, growing business where priorities can change.

Responsibilities

• Own the delivery of Yo-Chi's internal communications, making sure updates are clear, engaging and actionable.
• Develop communication plans for new initiatives, campaigns, projects and priorities.
• Manage internal communication calendar, workflows and channels.
• Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, Training, People & Culture, Supply Chain and Support Teams to align messages.
• Support the Business Operations Manager to coordinate cross-functional projects from planning to implementation.
• Keep project timelines, actions, milestones and stakeholders on track.
• Ensure new initiatives are practical, venue-ready and rolled out consistently across the business.
• Support change and implementation activities, helping teams understand what’s changing and why it matters.
• Gather feedback to understand what's working and how to improve how we communicate.

Job description

We're looking for an Internal Communications Specialist to join our team and help keep Yo-Chi connected, informed and moving in the same direction.

This role sits at the heart of our business, connecting our Support Teams, Operations and venues. You’ll turn big ideas, business changes and new initiatives into communication that’s clear, engaging and actually lands across the business.

From launching a new business initiative, to making sure our venues have everything they need to roll out a change, you'll play a hands-on role in turning business priorities into clear communication, practical action and successful implementation across Yo-Chi.

Joining our Support Operations team and reporting to the Business Operations Manager, you’ll work with teams across the business to keep everyone connected, bring ideas to life and make sure our people know what’s happening across Yo-Chi.

What we're looking for:

The role

This is a hybrid role that is based primarily from our Hawthorn office, with a minimum of 2 days in the office each week, with plenty of interaction across our Support Teams and venues. You'll work closely with teams across the business and may occasionally need to travel interstate for projects, venue openings and team initiatives.
