The Senior Business Analyst will translate complex requirements into end-to-end processes, working with stakeholders, UKG specialists and technical teams to ensure deliverables are fit for purpose and ready for deployment.

Senior Business Analyst (UKG System SME)

The Enterprise Rostering and Timesheets Project are implementing UKG Pro Workforce Management as a single enterprise-wide solution for rostering, timesheets and leave management. The solution will replace RRAp, Oracle timesheets, relevant HR Assist functionality and local rostering tools, and will support Victoria Police employees across operational and corporate environments.

The project is progressing through detailed design and implementation activities, requiring strong business analysis to translate complex operational, industrial, workforce and system requirements into practical end-to-end processes and solution outcomes.

The Senior Business Analyst will lead complex analysis across business processes, requirements, data and solution design. Working with operational stakeholders, subject matter experts, UKG specialists, technical teams and implementation partners, the role will help ensure the solution is fit for purpose, traceable to agreed requirements and ready for testing, deployment and transition to business operations.

Your duties will include:

• Contribute to the definition, analysis, validation and management of business, functional and process requirements for rostering, timesheets and leave.
• Map current and future-state processes and translate business needs into end-to-end solution requirements, functional specifications, business rules, acceptance criteria and implementation outcomes.
• Analyse complex workforce practices, system dependencies, interfaces, data and reporting requirements, identifying gaps, risks, duplication and opportunities to simplify or improve processes.
• Plan and facilitate workshops with police, VPS, roster writers, managers, subject matter experts, technical teams, vendors and other stakeholders to confirm requirements and resolve design issues.
• Maintain clear traceability between endorsed requirements, solution design, configuration, testing and business acceptance.
• Work closely with UKG functional specialists, architecture, integration, data, testing, change and implementation teams to support design decisions and end-to-end delivery.
• Contribute to test scenarios, defect analysis, business readiness, deployment planning, transition and knowledge transfer activities.
• Prepare concise reports, briefings, recommendations and governance material to support informed decision-making and timely escalation of risks and issues.
