Job summary

Zimmer Biomet in Belrose, NSW is launching its Summer Internship Program for 2026/27. This 12-week paid internship runs from 30 November 2026 to 5 March 2027 and is designed for university students and early-career applicants.

You will help migrate historical surgery and booking data into a modern data platform, contribute to a semantic data model, and assist in building reporting and AI-enabled data access tools to shape future roles in data and analytics.

Location: Belrose, NSW

Tentative Program Dates: 30 November 2026 - 5 March 2027 (12 working weeks)

How You'll Create Impact

• You will support the transition of historical surgery and booking data from legacy ERP environments into a modern enterprise data platform.
• This includes assisting with organising and transforming historical data, contributing to the design of a semantic data model, and supporting the development of reporting and AI-enabled data access tools.
• This project will help to prepare you for future roles in data and analytics, such as Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, or AI-enabled business analytics roles.

• Understanding of data, databases, and software development concepts, with exposure to SQL and Python.
• Familiarity with data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence concepts would be beneficial.

Your Background

This internship is designed with university students and early-career applicants in mind. It is a chance to put your knowledge into practice, learn how a global medical device company operates and contribute to work that makes a genuine difference to patient outcomes. You will be given a project of your own, with clear objectives and a manager to guide you through it.
