Job summary

Warami Solutions is seeking Intermediate and Senior Mechanical Design Engineers to lead HVAC design on major commercial projects across healthcare, defence, and commercial sectors in Australia. You will design, calculate, and document HVAC systems from concept through construction, mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with clients and managers.

Ideal candidates have 2–10+ years in commercial HVAC, strong knowledge of Australian Standards, and experience with HVAC software.

About the role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will contribute to the design and delivery of commercial HVAC projects from concept through to construction. Senior Engineers will also provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and assist with project coordination and client management. You will work on major commercial HVAC projects across a diverse range of sectors including commercial fitouts, new builds, healthcare, education, industrial and facilities management projects. Working alongside experienced Design Managers and senior project stakeholders, you will play a key role in delivering innovative HVAC solutions across multiple high-profile projects while continuing to develop your technical and professional skills within a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

Design commercial HVAC systems for a range of building services projects

About you

Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering

Intermediate Engineers: 2–5+ years' experience within commercial HVAC or mechanical building services

Senior Engineers: 6–10+ years' experience delivering commercial HVAC projects

Strong understanding of commercial HVAC design principles and Australian Standards

Experience using HVAC design software

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Full Australian working rights
