Frontline Recruitment Group in Rockhampton QLD is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to lead high-end residential interiors from concept to completion. This permanent role offers close collaboration with clients and the broader design and construction team to deliver beautiful, bespoke homes.

You will develop interior selections, finishes and design direction, coordinate with builders, architects and suppliers, and maintain records of selections.

Qualifications

  • Develop interior design concepts and selections for high-end residential homes
  • Work closely with clients to understand their lifestyle, preferences and design vision
  • Guide clients through selections including flooring, tiles, colours, cabinetry, fixtures, fittings and finishes
  • Prepare mood boards, concepts and presentation materials
  • Create cohesive and considered interior schemes across each project
  • Work closely with builders, architects, suppliers and trades
  • Coordinate selections and ensure they align with project budgets and specifications
  • Maintain accurate records of client selections and variations
  • Source and liaise with suppliers regarding products, finishes and availability

Our client is a high-end residential builder with an established reputation for delivering quality, beautifully designed homes across the Rockhampton region.
With a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, they are looking for an experienced and creative Interior Designer to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an opportunity to work closely with clients and the broader design and construction team, helping bring high-end residential homes from concept through to completion.

About the Role

As the Interior Designer, you will play a key role in developing the interior selections, finishes and overall design direction for high-end residential projects. You will work closely with clients to understand their vision, provide expert design advice and create cohesive interiors that complement the architecture and quality of each home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop interior design concepts and selections for high-end residential homes
  • Work closely with clients to understand their lifestyle, preferences and design vision
  • Guide clients through selections including flooring, tiles, colours, cabinetry, fixtures, fittings and finishes

Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in Interior Design, preferably within residential construction
  • Strong understanding of high-end residential design and finishes
  • Excellent eye for colour, materials, finishes and detail
  • Strong knowledge of residential building products and selections
  • Confident working directly with clients
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to interpret plans and understand residential construction
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Proficiency with relevant design and documentation software
  • A creative yet practical approach to design
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Experience working for a residential builder, architectural practice or high-end design studio will be highly regarded.
