Responsibilities

About the Role

As a Senior Interior Designer, you will take ownership of residential projects, working closely with clients, architects, builders, suppliers and our internal team to bring each project to life.

You will be involved across the full design process, from initial concepts and presentations through to detailed documentation, selections, procurement and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead interior design projects from concept to completion
• Develop strong design concepts, mood boards, material palettes and presentations
• Prepare detailed interior design documentation, specifications and schedules
• Develop furniture, finishes, fixtures, lighting and joinery selections
• Liaise confidently with clients, architects, builders, trades and suppliers
• Attend site meetings, inspections and project presentations
• Manage project timelines, budgets and design deliverables
• Coordinate procurement and oversee the delivery and installation of furniture and finishes
• Review drawings and ensure design intent is maintained throughout construction
• Mentor and support junior designers
• Contribute creatively to the studio’s overall design direction and brand

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Highly experienced in residential interior design, experience in commercial design is highly desirable.
• Creative, sophisticated and commercially minded
• Confident presenting concepts and ideas to clients
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Experienced in managing multiple projects and deadlines
• Confident communicating with builders, architects and consultants
• Passionate about materials, finishes, furniture and contemporary design
• Proactive, solutions-focused and able to work independently
• A natural leader who enjoys collaborating and mentoring others
• Professional, personable and committed to delivering exceptional client experiences

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5+ years’ professional interior design experience
• Relevant qualification in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or a related discipline
• Strong portfolio demonstrating high-end residential
• Excellent knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture and suppliers
• Strong understanding of construction and interior detailing
• Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and/or Revit
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong project management and organisational skillsAustralian residential design and construction experience highly regarded
