Job summary

Derwent Search Pty Ltd is seeking an Interim Head of Technology for a 6-month engagement based in Sydney. You will own the IT roadmap, manage budgets, and lead the delivery of technology programs that support business growth, including data analytics and the transition to in-house IT support.

You will oversee NetSuite administration, data warehousing, and Power BI reporting, while coordinating external IT providers and driving AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Hands-on demonstrable NetSuite experience including admin, config and workflows.
• Proven track record as Head of Technology, Business Systems Lead, or similar in SMBs.
• Experience with data platforms and reporting (Power BI, Snowflake, Azure).
• Experience managing MSPs and vendor relationships.
• Strong commercial acumen and budget/contract management.

Responsibilities

• Own the IT roadmap and budget; report progress to the executive team.
• Manage NetSuite environment: administration, workflows, customization, enhancements.
• Maintain data warehouse and Power BI reporting; mature analytics across divisions.
• Oversee MSP relationships and transition to in-house IT support.
• Be the primary point of contact for technology and data issues across the business.
• Support AI development and initiatives.
