Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland is seeking a Child and Family Case Worker in Toowoomba to join the Intensive Family Support Service. You will lead case management, visit families at home and collaborate to safeguard children while developing tailored case plans and referrals to specialist supports.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 2 years’ experience in case management and child protection, plus knowledge of domestic violence and First Nations considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology or Human Services.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in case management and child protection.
• Knowledge of Domestic Family Violence and its impact on children; First Nations awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead case management with families in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Conduct in-home visits and provide therapeutic and practical support to families.
• Develop and review collaborative case plans to address presenting concerns and refer to specialist services.
