Job description

Champion the planning process behind some of Australia's best-known potato and onion brands.

As the Integrated Business Planning Manager, you will lead the demand, supply and commercial planning team, to facilitate the S&OE and S & OP cycle, ensuring alignment of the finance, sales, marketing, farms and production/packing teams. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you will play an important role in ensuring the organisation can meet its goals efficiently, manage resources effectively and respond to changing demands.

The role

You'll bring together the sales demand, farm supply season plan, and operations site plans for the season, quarterly, monthly and weekly. This is a hands-on role in a complex environment, where you'll set and support weekly and monthly processes, ensuring that key stakeholders understand priorities and deadlines. In addition, you are responsible for:

  • Forecasting demand and assessing whether the organisation has the resources and capacity to deliver those objectives
  • Identify and anticipate risks such as labour shortages, equipment downtime, budget constraints or supply delays or issues
  • Run the monthly and weekly IBP cycles, keeping business units aligned and consistent, and working with stakeholders to resolve conflicting priorities and agree on actions.
  • Partner with senior leaders to drive improvement and faster, better-informed decisions.
  • Benchmark best practice and lead continuous improvement in process and systems.
  • Escalate unresolved demand and supply imbalances and gap-closing actions to the

  • Incorporate demand plan in production and supply chain capacity planning, including the analysis of demand versus production capacity to ensure that DIFOT can be achieved

About you

Your greatest strength is bringing people together. You can get stakeholders with competing priorities to agree on a single plan, without relying on direct line authority. You'll be tertiary qualified with a business or commercial degree, and ideally have formal qualifications in project management, though this is not essential. In addition:

  • You've led an integrated business planning function in a complex, multi-segment manufacturing or FMCG business.
  • You have significant experience in business planning and process management, helping cross-functional teams meet organisational outcomes.
You turn large data sets into clear insights and recommendations for senior audiences.
  • At a strategic level, you can forecast impacts of demand, sales, supply, inventory and human resources to improve EBITDA results
You have exceptional communication skills, and are able to articulate difficult ideas and concepts through both verbal and written communications
  • You’re comfortable with change management and holding people to a process.
