Weir in Perth, Western Australia, invites a seasoned Instructional Design Team Lead to shape world-class learning experiences that accelerate product adoption and customer success using AI technologies. You will lead a high-performing instructional design team, set standards across a global software portfolio, and partner with senior leaders to align learning outcomes with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design or related field.
• 5+ years’ instructional design experience with leadership.
• Experience designing digital, blended and self-paced learning for software/tech.
• Proven ability to engage stakeholders and translate technical concepts into learning.
• Experience establishing standards, quality controls and scalable development processes.
• Knowledge of modern learning technologies, authoring tools, governance, and AI-enabled learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and evolve global instructional design standards across the portfolio.
• Grow team capability and mentor junior designers.
• Shape learning strategy to drive product adoption and customer success.

What you need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning & Development, Communications or a related discipline.
• 5+ years’ instructional design experience, including leadership, coaching and team development responsibilities.
• Strong experience designing digital, blended and self-paced learning solutions for complex software or technical environments.
• Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders, translating technical concepts into effective learning experiences.
• Experience establishing instructional design standards, quality controls and scalable content-development processes.
• Strong knowledge of modern learning technologies, authoring tools, content governance and AI-enabled learning practices.
