Job summary

MiHaven Training in Queensland is seeking a dedicated Trainer & Assessor for Individual Support (Aging and Disability). You will deliver practical, hands-on learning and assess competencies to help students build real-world skills for care roles.

Ideal candidates bring TAE40122 or higher, industry experience in aged care or disability support, and a passion for mentoring learners in both classroom and online settings.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering engaging classroom, face-to-face and/or online training.
• A sound understanding of competency-based assessment and the requirements of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2025.
• Willingness to maintain industry currency and undertake ongoing professional development.
• Desire to help students develop confidence, skills and knowledge for rewarding careers in care.

Responsibilities

• Bring learning to life with engaging, interactive and practical training.
• Connect learning to real-world contexts in aged care and disability support.
• Develop confident graduates through fair, competency-based assessments.
• Mentor and support students throughout their learning journey.
• Share current industry knowledge and workplace experience in the classroom.
• Create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Deliver training and assessment for CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support as required.
• Comply with Standards for RTOs and MiHaven Training quality framework.
