Job summary

Shellharbour City Council is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Programs to oversee asset management, capital delivery and program inspections across buildings, aquatic facilities, parks, stormwater and transport assets. The role supports safe, reliable, and sustainable infrastructure for the community.

You will manage a diverse portfolio, engage with stakeholders, and drive practical solutions for long-term stewardship of essential assets in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent skills and experience.
  • Experience in infrastructure, civil construction and/or asset management with knowledge of asset inspections, condition assessments and maintenance planning.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships and resolve issues effectively.
  • Experience using Asset and Maintenance Management Systems (TechnologyOne, GIS or similar) and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Current General Induction for Construction Work Certificate (White Card) or the ability to obtain prior to commencement.

Job description

Play a key role in managing and enhancing Council's infrastructure networks, including buildings, aquatic facilities, parks, stormwater and transport assets. This varied position combines asset management, capital program delivery, inspections and customer request management to support safe, reliable and sustainable infrastructure outcomes for the community.

This is an excellent opportunity for an infrastructure professional looking to contribute to the long-term stewardship and performance of Council's essential assets.

About You

You will bring a combination of technical expertise, practical asset management experience and strong stakeholder engagement skills and be comfortable working across a diverse infrastructure portfolio, managing competing priorities and delivering practical solutions for the community.

  • Commencing salary range from $92,894 - $98,580 per annum
