Job summary

BDO is seeking expressions of interest for Project & Infrastructure Advisory roles across Consultant to Manager levels in Perth, WA. You will contribute to government and private-sector infrastructure projects through business cases, procurement, and transaction workstreams.

You will work on diverse engagements, collaborating with experienced advisers, and developing client relationships across Western Australia and nationally.

Qualifications

  • Technical experience in one or more areas of focus – financial or economic modelling, procurement, engineering, project management.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively via reports, spreadsheets, presentations, written correspondence, and conversations.
  • Strong understanding of or desire to learn government and commercial frameworks for business case development and infrastructure procurement.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or contribute meaningfully to client relationships and business development.
  • Understanding and experience in financial and economic analysis, including project financial modelling, cost-benefit analysis, economic modelling and socio-economic assessment.
  • Tertiary qualifications (commerce, finance, engineering, legal, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Leading, managing, and/or working as part of multi-disciplinary project teams to solve complex infrastructure problems and challenges.
  • Leading, managing, or supporting the delivery of stakeholder engagement activities, executive reports, business cases and presentations for a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Leading, managing, or supporting the preparation of financial and commercial analyses informed by an understanding of the client/project objectives.
  • Leading, managing, or supporting commercial negotiations between parties.
  • Leading, managing, or supporting the development of project financial models.
  • Managing or contributing to the on-time and on-budget delivery of engagements.
  • Leading or supporting business development activities including engaging with current and potential future clients and preparing comprehensive proposals.
  • Maintaining and developing strong relationships with clients, project stakeholders, project partners, and broader industry.
