Job summary

BDO in Australia is seeking a Senior Consultant for our Project & Infrastructure Advisory team operating across Queensland and Northern Australia. You will build and test financial models, perform in-depth economic and commercial analyses, and craft advisory reports for government and private sector clients.

You will develop business cases, quantify risks, and present actionable recommendations while collaborating with specialists across economics, strategy and commercial advisory.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in infrastructure advisory, management consulting, commercial advisory, corporate finance or a similar environment.
• Strong financial modelling skills, including building, testing and interpreting models with clear documentation of assumptions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to engage with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build, test and maintain financial models to support business cases and investment decisions.
• Undertake financial, commercial and strategic analysis across infrastructure and development projects.
• Support the development of business cases, economic assessments and client advisory reports.
• Analyse project costs, revenues, benefits, risks and delivery options, including scenario and sensitivity analysis.
• Translate complex analysis into clear, practical recommendations for clients.
• Take ownership of defined project workstreams and manage deliverables and deadlines.
• Prepare high-quality reports, presentations and client materials.
