Job summary

Future State People is seeking a hands-on IT Support professional to provide desktop and on-site IT assistance in Loganlea, Brisbane. You will handle hardware and network troubleshooting, plus support Microsoft 365 and Active Directory access.

Join a busy support team, work across LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi, coordinate with external contractors, and maintain accurate ticketing while contributing to IT project work. Immediate start preferred for a role with real impact on daily operations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years hands-on desktop support experience.
  • Experience installing/troubleshooting network and IT hardware.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and Office apps.
  • Understanding of Active Directory security and permissions; LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi principles.
  • Clear communication with a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

  • Provide desktop and IT support to users in person and remotely.
  • Install, configure and troubleshoot network and IT hardware.
  • Diagnose and resolve software, hardware and LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi issues.
  • Support Microsoft 365 administration and Active Directory access/permissions.
  • Coordinate with external support contractors and keep users informed to resolution.
  • Maintain accurate tickets and contribute to installations and IT project work.
  • Identify and report security risks and follow support standards.

What you'll be doing
  • Providing desktop and IT support to users in person and remotely.
  • Installing, configuring and troubleshooting network and IT hardware, including PCs, peripherals and network equipment.
  • Diagnosing and resolving software, hardware and LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi connectivity issues.
  • Supporting Microsoft 365 administration and Active Directory access and permissions.
  • Coordinating with external support contractors and keeping users informed through to resolution.
  • Maintaining accurate tickets, prioritising requests and contributing to installations and IT project work.
  • Identifying and reporting security risks and working within agreed support standards.
What you'll bring
  • At least 2+ years' hands-on desktop support experience.
  • Practical experience installing and troubleshooting network and IT hardware.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 use and administration, plus Microsoft Office applications.
  • An understanding of Active Directory security and permissions, and LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi principles.
  • Clear communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused approach.
  • The ability to take ownership, work independently and prioritise in a busy environment.
  • Availability to start immediately (or within the next two weeks!)

Based in Loganlea, the role includes occasional site visits, so you'll need a current driver's licence and access to a car.
