Job summary

Bega Valley Shire Council is seeking an Information Technology Coordinator to lead ICT operations, service delivery and cyber security across our regional council. Reporting to the Manager Digital Services, you will drive secure, reliable digital services for enterprise applications and information management.

You will provide operational leadership for infrastructure, end-user technology, vendor management and ICT planning, collaborating with the Enterprise Systems and Information Management

Qualifications

• Diploma level or higher ICT qualification with seven years’ experience.
• Experience managing ICT operations and infrastructure across a geographically dispersed network.
• Experience implementing IT service management (ITIL) to ensure governance and service levels.

The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for an innovative individual to be responsible for the secure, reliable, and resilient operation of Council’s ICT infrastructure and end‑user technology environment. Reporting to the Manager Digital Services, this role leads ICT operations, service delivery, and cyber security controls, ensuring that Council’s platforms effectively support enterprise applications, information management, and business services. The Information Technology Coordinator works in close partnership with the Enterprise Systems Coordinator and Information Management Coordinator to deliver integrated, stable, and secure digital services.

As an Information Technology Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring Council’s ICT infrastructure, systems and technology services are secure, reliable and fit for purpose. You will provide operational leadership across infrastructure, cybersecurity, end-user technology, vendor management and ICT planning, driving continuous improvement and supporting the delivery of effective technology solutions across Council.

About You

We are seeking an individual who holds a Diploma level or higher qualification in Information Communication Technology (ICT) or similar level related qualification, along with seven (7) years' work experience in ICT or related field (indicative).

You will have the following skills and experience;

• Demonstrated experience in managing ICT operations and infrastructure across a geographically dispersed network.
• Practical experience implementing or managing standardised IT service management (such as ITIL) to ensure continued governance and levels of service.
• Demonstrated experience supporting technical teams deliver within a business driven and people focused environment (desirable government or local government experience).

Benefits

This is a permanent, full time position working 35 hours per week.

The total remuneration package for this position commences at $122,158.40 gross per annum, comprising of:

• $2,097.50 per week base salary
• $251.70 per week superannuation (calculated at 12%)
