Job summary

Bega Valley Shire Council is seeking an Enterprise Systems Coordinator to lead planning and continuous improvement of the council’s enterprise applications, including corporate finance, CRM, GIS, and asset management systems. You will ensure these applications are fit-for-purpose, secure, and integrated with the council's Digital & Data Strategies and ICT Governance frameworks.

Qualifications

  • Diploma level or higher in IT, Project Management or related field.
  • Experience leading enterprise application portfolios in a complex environment, preferably local government.
  • Solid ITIL knowledge and secure‑by‑design practices (RBAC, patching, audit).
  • Ability to lead and develop a small technical/applications team; coach super‑users.

The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a strategic individual to lead, govern, and continuously improve Council’s enterprise application ecosystem—covering corporate business systems (finance, Corporate, CRM, ERP), GIS platforms, and asset management systems—to enable reliable services, secure data, efficient processes, and informed decision‑making across the organisation.

This role ensures applications are fit‑for‑purpose, integrated, secure, and aligned to Council’s Digital & Data Strategies, Asset Management Strategy, and ICT Governance frameworks.

As an Enterprise Systems Coordinator, you will lead the planning, development and continuous improvement of Council’s enterprise applications, including corporate, GIS and asset management systems. You will lead systems projects and vendor relationships, oversee system support and integration, and work collaboratively with business units to deliver secure, fit‑for‑purpose technology solutions that support Council’s operations and strategic priorities.

About You

We are seeking an individual who holds a Diploma level or higher qualification in Information Technology (IT), Project Management or similar level related qualification.

You will have the following skills and experience;

  • Experience leading enterprise application portfolios (corporate systems, GIS, asset management) in a complex, multi‑stakeholder environment—preferably local government.
  • Solid grounding in ITIL (Incident, Problem, Change) and secure‑by‑design practices (RBAC, patching, audit).
  • Demonstrated outcome and people focused project delivery, stakeholder engagement, communication, and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to lead and develop a small technical/applications team; coach super‑users and promote adoption.
Benefits

This is a permanent, full time position working 35 hours per week.

The total remuneration package for this position commences at $122,158.40 gross per annum, comprising of:

  • $2,097.50 per week base salary
  • $251.70 per week superannuation (calculated at 12%)
