Job summary

South Pacific Welding Group (SPW), a BOC company, is hiring a hands-on Sales Assistant – Industrial / Trade for our Fyshwick store in Canberra. You will deliver outstanding service in-store, over the phone and via email, helping industrial customers with product advice and sales while keeping shelves stocked and displays tidy.

Ideal candidates are customer-focused, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, with basic computer skills and a forklift licence (preferred).

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Fast-paced retail/trade setting experience.
• Forklift licence preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills; SAP experience a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service in-store, via phone and email.
• Assist industrial and trade customers with product advice and sales.
• Manage stock, receive/dispatch goods, and maintain displays.
• Support product demos, upselling, and promotions.
• Safely handle gas cylinders and assist with yard/forklift work.
• Maintain a clean and compliant store environment.
