Job summary

Aurecon in Perth is seeking an Engineering / Design Manager to lead our Industrial Mechanical team on major projects. Based in Perth, you will coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and design activities from concept to delivery, driving safety in design and governance, while building strong client relationships.

You will collaborate with project managers, discipline leads, clients, contractors and delivery partners to achieve safe, timely, high-quality outcomes and effective communication

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering qualifications, ideally Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering and design on complex projects.
• A project delivery focus with the ability to manage interfaces, priorities, risks, and technical outcomes.
• Knowledge of safety in design, technical assurance, and engineering governance.
• Strong client engagement, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• A collaborative, practical approach to problem-solving and delivering impactful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and design activities from concept through to delivery.
• Manage engineering interfaces, priorities, and deliverables to achieve safe, timely, and high-quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with project managers, discipline leads, clients, contractors, and delivery partners.
• Drive safety in design, technical assurance, engineering governance, and design review processes.
• Resolve design issues and manage technical risks, engineering changes, and project constraints.
• Build trusted client relationships and maintain clear, effective project communication.
