Job summary

Aurecon Group seeks an experienced Lead Civil Engineer for our Industrial, Mining & Resources team based in Brisbane. You will lead civil studies and designs, coordinate geotechnical inputs and interface with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, constructable solutions for major infrastructure projects.

You will contribute from concept through feasibility to detailed design and delivery, building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders while upholding engineering excellence

Qualifications

• Qualifications in civil engineering and experience delivering civil design for mining, resources, industrial or major infrastructure projects.
• RPEQ certification or eligibility to obtain RPEQ registration.
• Experience across bulk earthworks, drainage, pavements and underground services with geotechnical coordination.
• Experience contributing across multiple project phases from studies to detailed design and delivery.
• Ability to translate complex civil engineering concepts for clients and stakeholders.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the confidence to engage diverse teams.
• A genuine interest in learning and growing alongside experienced specialists.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver civil studies and designs in the Industrial Civil space, including bulk earthworks, drainage and pavements.
• Coordinate geotechnical inputs and civil interfaces to create integrated, constructable solutions.
• Support projects from concept through detailed design, construction support and sustainment works.
• Partner with multidisciplinary teams to resolve complex technical challenges and deliver practical outcomes.
• Build trusted relationships with clients by translating technical detail into clear, actionable advice.
• Contribute to design reviews, quality outcomes and growth of civil capability within the team.
