Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies Pty in Australia is seeking an Internal Sales Representative to be the main contact for customers, handling inquiries, quotes and order processing while building strong relationships.

You'll be hands-on, involved in picking, packing and dispatching orders, stock handling, and liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery across a wide range of industrial products such as bearings and power transmission components.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Internal Sales, Customer Service, Parts, Trade Counter or a similar role.
• Experience within industrial distribution or a related industry would be highly regarded.
• Strong customer service focus and the ability to build lasting relationships.
• A proactive sales mindset and willingness to follow up opportunities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Providing exceptional customer service via phone, email and face-to-face.
• Responding to customer enquiries and helping identify the right products and solutions.
• Preparing quotations and proactively following up customer enquiries and sales opportunities.
• Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
• Identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts and develop new business.
• Liaising with suppliers regarding pricing, product availability and delivery timeframes.
• Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders.
• Receiving and putting away incoming stock.
• Maintaining accurate customer, product and order information.
• Working as part of the team to ensure our customers receive a consistently high level of service.
