Qualifications

• Experience in Industrial Design or Product Design.

• Understanding of product design principles, materials and manufacturing processes.
• Experience designing products from concept through to production.
• Ability to design with manufacturing methods in mind.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a small team.

Responsibilities

• Developing product concepts and turning them into practical designs.
• Creating and modifying 3D CAD models and technical drawings.
• Designing components suitable for plastic injection moulding.
• Working closely with engineers and other stakeholders throughout the design process.
• Considering materials, tooling and manufacturing requirements during product development.
• Supporting the transition of designs from concept through to production.
• Updating designs and documentation as required.
• Working within a small engineering and design team on varied projects.

My client is a small engineering and design company looking for an Industrial Designer to join their team in Adelaide. This is an opportunity to work on varied design projects, with a strong focus on product development and plastic injection moulding.

The Industrial Designer will ideally have the following attributes:
