Job summary

Indigenous Wellbeing Centre (IWC) in Bundaberg and the Wide Bay Burnett region seeks a Family Support Coordinator to provide culturally safe, holistic support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.

You will deliver early intervention, coordinated case management, advocacy and service linkages, working with IWC programs and external partners to strengthen family functioning, child development and educational outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with families, community members and external service providers.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Ability to manage a caseload and maintain accurate, timely and confidential client records.
• Strong assessment, problem-solving and case management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess family needs and develop coordinated, strengths-based case plans.
• Connect families with health, wellbeing and community services.
• Collaborate with IWC programs, external agencies and multidisciplinary professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
• Advocate for clients and strengthen their ability to advocate for themselves.
