Job summary

Glencore’s Mount Isa Mines Operations (MIM) invites an experienced Senior Advisor - Indigenous Engagement to lead site-level Indigenous relations across Mount Isa. You will coordinate cultural heritage activities, support Indigenous participation and capability initiatives, and work with stakeholders to improve employment, procurement and engagement outcomes within the local community.

The role requires strong relationships across internal and external partners, with relocation support offered

Qualifications

Substantial experience with Traditional Owner groups/Indigenous communities in resources or land-use contexts.
Strong knowledge of cultural heritage legislation and Queensland survey processes.
Ability to build trust and maintain long-term relationships with Indigenous stakeholders/organisations.
Experience supporting Indigenous procurement or capacity-building initiatives.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and cultural competency skills.
Ability to manage sensitive stakeholder matters with discretion and cultural sensitivity.
Strong organisational skills to coordinate multi-party cultural heritage surveys.
Understanding of risk management in social performance and cultural heritage.
