Job summary

IAG (AU) is hiring an Analyst Data Engineer to build and support data products and pipelines powering Finance and Pricing decisions. You’ll develop modern data platforms, improve data accessibility and quality, and drive continuous improvement in Retail Technology.

The role partners with business and tech stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable data solutions, enabling better customer and business outcomes. Based in Sydney or Melbourne, permanent full-time.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer or similar data-focused role.
• Strong technical skills across SQL, Python, DBT, BigQuery and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience building and supporting scalable data pipelines, data models and APIs.
• Knowledge of Agile delivery, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and Git version control.
• Exposure to AI-enabled data testing, optimisation and governance capabilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for delivering quality outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• You identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and optimise data pipelines, models and data products.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Support production data environments, troubleshooting issues and ensuring platform reliability.
• Build and maintain API integrations and scalable data workflows.
• Develop, test and deploy solutions using DBT, SQL, Python and Google Cloud technologies.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies, code reviews, testing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure data quality, security, governance and compliance standards are upheld
