Job summary

IAG is seeking an Analyst Data Engineer to design, build and optimise data pipelines and analytics platforms powering Finance and Pricing decisions. You’ll work in a collaborative team to improve data access, quality and platform reliability while delivering scalable data solutions.

Based in Australia, this permanent full-time role offers involvement with modern data platforms, API integrations, and strong governance practices, with opportunities for growth and Indigenous engagement through

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer or similar data-focused role.
• Strong technical skills across SQL, Python, DBT, BigQuery and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience building and supporting scalable data pipelines, data models and APIs.
• Knowledge of Agile delivery, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and Git version control.
• Exposure to AI-enabled data testing, optimisation and governance capabilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for delivering quality outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• You identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and optimise data pipelines, models and data products.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Support production data environments, troubleshooting issues and ensuring platform reliability.
• Build and maintain API integrations and scalable data workflows.
• Develop, test and deploy solutions using DBT, SQL, Python and Google Cloud technologies.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies, code reviews, testing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure data quality, security, governance and compliance standards are upheld
