Job summary

St Vincent's Health Australia seeks a Manager Aboriginal Cultural Capability to lead organisation-wide Aboriginal cultural capability initiatives. The role supervises a dedicated facilitator, designs and evaluates programs, and partners with Aboriginal communities to drive culturally safe and inclusive care.

The position reports to senior leadership and supports governance alignment with NSW priorities. The role is based at St Vincent’s Public Hospital in Sydney, offering a permanent full-time

Qualifications

• Must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
• Hold a relevant tertiary qualification (or equivalent) with leadership experience.
• Strong skills in designing, managing, and delivering cultural capability programs.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead Aboriginal Cultural Capability initiatives across the organisation.
• Mentor and guide the Aboriginal Cultural Capability Facilitator.
• Design, deliver, evaluate and report cultural capability programs.
• Build partnerships with local Aboriginal communities and stakeholders.
• Influence governance, policies and service models to embed Aboriginal perspectives.
• Prepare reports and briefs for senior leadership and track program completion.
