Job summary

Qualifications

• Current Queensland College of Teachers Registration (QCT) is required.
• Ability to apply inclusive teaching practices and use learning technologies.
• Experience in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans and adjustments.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Disability Standards for Education and NCCD.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Commitment to student wellbeing and holistic development.
• Desirable: First Aid/CPR certification; literacy and numeracy interventions; neurodiverse support experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to students with additional learning needs.
• Monitor students to identify specific learning needs and impacts of disabilities.
• Design and amend Support Plans with students, parents, and teachers.
• Collaborate with Head of Learning Support to deliver programs and advise staff.
• Case manage a group of identified students and review progress.
• Assist teachers to adjust units of work, lessons and assessments.
• Collate and moderate NCCD data and evidence.
• Attend meetings with students, parents and teachers; teach classes as timetabled.
