Job summary

Somerset College is seeking a Teacher – Learning Enhancement (Junior School) to join our Learning Enhancement team on the Gold Coast. This role focuses on inclusive practices, targeted intervention and developing individualised learning plans for students from Pre-Prep to Year 6.

You will collaborate with teachers, families and external professionals to implement evidence-based strategies, monitor progress and contribute to a culture where every student thrives.

Qualifications

• Current Queensland College of Teachers registration.
• Relevant teaching qualifications and demonstrated teaching experience.
• Experience supporting students with additional learning needs and delivering adjusted learning programs.

Responsibilities

• Support student learning, wellbeing and achievement through inclusive teaching practices and targeted intervention.
• Teach and support students with diagnosed additional learning needs across Pre-Prep to Year 6.
• Develop, implement and monitor targeted intervention programs and individualised learning plans.
• Monitor student progress and use assessment data to inform teaching and support strategies.
• Coordinate and support Access Arrangements and Reasonable Adjustments (AARA) processes as required.
• Engage positively with parents, carers, external specialists and multidisciplinary teams.
