Job summary

Brisbane Catholic Education's Notre Dame College in Bells Creek invites applications for a Support Teacher (Inclusive Education). This full-time role is 70% ST:IE and 30% classroom teaching across the Secondary College, reporting to the school leadership team.

You will support students with disabilities, develop personalised plans, adapt curriculum, and collaborate with families and external stakeholders to deliver inclusive education outcomes within a Catholic school community.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of educational policies, practices and strategies that support students with disabilities.
• Curriculum development and adaptation tailored to diverse student needs.
• Understanding the NCCD and process of developing detailed learning profiles.

Responsibilities

• Create a nurturing, learner-centered environment aligned with curriculum policies for students with disabilities.
• Collaboratively develop and implement inclusive education practices and assess student progress.
• Implement effective, adaptive and equitable teaching strategies.
• Develop Personalised Support Plans with appropriate adjustments.
• Engage in professional renewal to enhance student outcomes.
• Collaborate with leadership, teachers and staff in school life.
