San Damiano College in Queensland seeks two passionate and dedicated Support Teachers: Inclusive Education to join our growing learning community. This role focuses on ensuring all students can access, participate in, and achieve success in their learning through collaborative, inclusive practices.

The successful applicants will work with teachers, families, and support staff to foster inclusive education that improves academic, social, and emotional outcomes for students with disabilities.

Formación

• Knowledge of policies and strategies to support students with disabilities.
• Curriculum development and adaptation for diverse learners.
• Understanding of NCCD processes and learning profiles.
• Strong classroom management and safeguarding.
• Ability to engage with the wider community, including families and external stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Create a nurturing, learner-centred environment for students with disabilities.
• Collaboratively develop and implement inclusive education practices and assess progress.
• Implement effective, adaptive teaching strategies for diverse learners.
• Oversee Personalised Support Plans with clear adjustment requirements.
• Engage in professional renewal to enhance student outcomes.
• Collaborate with leadership, teachers and staff in school life.
• Provide effective supervision of students.
• Establish positive pastoral relationships and support spiritual development.
• Encourage involvement of school and students in the life of the church.
• Engage the wider community in learning and teaching programs.
• Support the school in events and celebrations.
