Job summary

San Damiano College in Yarrabilba, Queensland, is seeking two passionate Support Teachers: Inclusive Education to join a growing learning community. You will collaborate with teachers, families and staff to ensure accessible, participatory learning for all students.

Applicants should have knowledge of policies for students with disabilities, curriculum adaptation and NCCD processes, plus strong classroom management and community engagement. Catholic affiliation is not required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of educational policies, practices, and strategies that support students with disabilities.
• Curriculum development and adaption for diverse student needs.
• Understanding of the NCCD process and learning profiles.
• Effective classroom management for a nurturing, safe environment.
• Ability to engage with the wider community and external stakeholders.
• Not required to be Catholic.

Responsibilities

• Create a nurturing and ordered learning environment centred on learners with disabilities.
• Collaboratively develop inclusive education practices and assess student progress.
• Implement effective, adaptive and equitable teaching strategies.
• Oversee Personalised Support Plans with adjustments and evidence for NCCD timelines.
• Engage in professional renewal and contribute to school life with staff.
• Supervise students and support pastoral care and wellbeing.
• Foster connections with church activities and the wider community.
