Job summary

Department for Education seeks an AHP3 Occupational Therapist to support sensory processing, emotional regulation and movement needs within schools across South Australia. You will contribute to professional learning for Autism Inclusion Teachers and work in a multidisciplinary team to advance inclusive, neuro-affirming practices.

The role focuses on improving outcomes for autistic and neurodivergent learners and requires current OT registration with the Australian board.

Qualifications

• Current and full registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
• Experience in education settings with autistic or neurodivergent learners is desirable.
• Experience working with families who have children on the autism spectrum is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise to support sensory processing, emotional regulation and movement needs.
• Contribute to professional learning resources and consultations for Autism Inclusion Teachers across SA.
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team to promote inclusive, neuro-affirming practices in schools.
• Support AITs to implement strategies that enhance communication, participation and learner agency.
