Job summary

Georges River Council’s Early Learning Services are seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Educator (Cert III) at Oatley West Early Learning Centre. The role is permanent part-time and focuses on creating safe, engaging learning environments for children and supporting age-appropriate programs.

You will collaborate with colleagues, communicate with families, and uphold health and safety standards while reflecting developmental and cultural needs.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Children’s Services required.
• Current First Aid Certificate including Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• NSW Department of Education–approved Child Protection Training Certificate.
• National Child Safety certification.
• Food Handling and Preparation training or certification.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with children, families, staff, volunteers and community.
• Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
• Commitment to inclusive, child-centred practice.

Responsibilities

• Support children’s learning, development, and daily programs.
• Promote inclusive, child-centered practice for all children.
• Assist with program delivery and daily routines.
• Build positive relationships with children to support confidence, independence, and social skills.
• Communicate respectfully with families and encourage involvement.
• Maintain health, safety, hygiene, and wellbeing standards.
• Contribute professionally as a team member and comply with policies and regulations.
