Job summary

BlueCare, part of UnitingCare Queensland, is seeking a Personal Carer to support clients in the community across Highfields, Crows Nest and surrounding areas. This permanent part-time role focuses on enhancing independence, dignity and quality of life through in-home care and daily living assistance.

You’ll travel to clients’ homes, assist with personal care, meal prep, cleaning, errands and community activities while following individual care plans.

Qualifications

• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops
• Certificate III Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent – essential
• Current Australian Driver's Licence – essential
• Roadworthy and insured vehicle to use for work – essential
• Proficiency with probity checks as required by legislation or policies

Responsibilities

• Spending time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients in their homes
• In-home personal care including showering, daily living assistance, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing
• Providing care in accordance with the individual Care Plan
• Supporting clients with community-based recreational and social activities
• Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments
