Job summary

BlueCare, part of UnitingCare Queensland, is seeking a Personal Carer to support clients living in the community across Rockhampton and surrounding areas. The role focuses on in-home care, daily living support, and building meaningful relationships with clients to enhance independence and wellbeing.

You will spend time visiting clients, assisting with daily tasks, meal preparation, hygiene, and mobility as per each Care Plan, while also facilitating social activities and transportation needs.

Qualifications

• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
• Current Australian Driver's Licence (Green Provisional minimum)
• Roadworthy & insured (Third Party Property minimum) vehicle to use for work
• Certificate III Aged Care, Individual Support or an equivalent qualification - Essential

Responsibilities

• Spending time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes
• In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing
• Providing care in accordance with individualised Care Plan
• Supporting with community based recreational and social activities
• Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments
