Job summary

BlueCare is seeking a Personal Carer to provide community-based support to clients in Highfields, Crows Nest and surrounding areas. You will visit clients in their homes to assist with daily living activities, personal care and meaningful community engagement.

Role requires a Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent, a valid Australian driver's licence, and a roadworthy vehicle. You will work as part of a not-for-profit, supportive team with a focus on person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Certificate III Aged Care, Individual Support or an equivalent qualification - Essential
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional minimum) - Essential
• Roadworthy & insured vehicle to use for work - Essential
• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc
• Confidence to satisfy probity checks required by legislation or policies

Responsibilities

• Spending time on the road visiting clients in their homes and communities
• Provide in-home personal care and daily living assistance (showering, meals, cleaning, laundry)
• Follow individualised Care Plans and support with community activities
• Assist with transportation, shopping and appointments as needed
