Job summary

Just Better Care Newcastle Hunter is seeking dedicated Support Workers to deliver high quality in-home aged care and disability support to clients in their local community. You can choose hours that fit your lifestyle and work with a roster of repeat clients to help people stay independent at home.

Your role includes personal care, social support and transportation, domestic assistance, assisting with aids and equipment, monitoring wellbeing, and providing updates on client progress as part of

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal and written/verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to build rapport and maintain working relationships.
• Comfortable using technology (mobile app) to access rosters and record notes/feedback.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support that is respectful, dignified, safe, and encourages independence per the support plan.
• Work with a roster of repeat clients in the local area to deliver in-home care.
• Monitor the well-being of customers and report on their progress.
• Provide updates on customer progress following each service.
• Assist with personal care (showering, dressing, grooming, medication assistance).
• Assist with social support/transportation for activities, shopping, and medical appointments.
• Provide domestic assistance (light cleaning, laundry, meal prep).
• Support customers with aids and equipment and with complex or challenging needs.
